Team Jackson Kayak Fun Tour will cover two places this weekend

In the Spring there are so many fun events happening for paddlers wanting to get back out on the water, meet up with old kayaking buddies, and make new ones. This weekend there are two big events worth hitting if you are from the mid-west or east coast.

First, Dynamic Earth is having a whitewater clinic and demo for anyone who wants to hit the water in Missouri. We are sending our very own Stephen Wright to that event to do clinics, help people find the right Jackson Kayak for their 2006 paddling season, and also do a Premier of the brand new 2006 Jackson Kayak promo video as well as Nomads (staring Jessie Stone, Emily Jackson, and Whitney Londsdale).

The Jackson family (Emily, Dane, Kristine, and I) are going to another major event, one that is a one time deal. Lonnie and Karen Carden, the owners of Southern Trails is celebrating their 30th Anniversary of the store in Montgomery Alabama! They are going to have their current and past staff, and any kayaker that wants to come out and play on the Coosa River there. We are going there to celebrate with them and hope to help them make it a super fun event.

The event goes over the weekend. The schedule is as follows:

Saturday: 10am-3pm- Demo whitewater kayaks at the “GAP” on the Coosa. Both Southern Trails and Jackson Kayak will have demos for you to try.
5:30pm- Barbecue for those who rsvp to Karen at newfig@bellsouth.net or 334-265-8016.
7:30pm-? Entertainment by K.B. & the Kool Kats- Bring your lawn chairs and beverages!
If it rains, the entertainment will be held at the Equipment Barn at 107 River Road, Wetumpka.
