2007 World Surf Kayak Championships in Basque Land

The Worlds for surf kayaking are coming right up. I leave on October 5th for Spain. The competition will be October 18-28th. You can follow the competition at

I am hoping to have wireless so I can update the Jackson Kayak Website. Since I am inland I have been paddling my Reaction Surf kayak on Payette Lake. I cannot wait to get to the ocean.

My family is also coming and we are going to France after the comp. for a family reunion in the Basque Land. There are 5 Basque provinces. Three are in Spain and two in France. We will be staying in a hotel call Erramundeya House. This is really special as it was the home of my great, great, grandparents!

Enjoy the photos. I am excited to hit the large waves of Bakio and Mundaka, Spain. I am also excited to defend my World Champion title in the Basque Land. I cannot believe that kayaking has brought me full circle back to my homeland in the Basque Country!!!!!!!!!!!!
