Heather Herbeck is getting excited about Spring in the West!!!

Hey EJ –

Check out the awesome Winter we’re having . . . we’re going to have a great Spring!

It seems like at least two days out of the week, we are getting dumped on out here in the Columbia River Gorge. Nate and I live in BZ Corners, which is the put-in/take-out for the Middle White Salmon River, one of the Northwest Classics. We received about 2 feet of snow last weekend, dustings of snow every morning this past week, and now, just a week later, we are getting another foot or more of snow! I have done more snow kayaking and cross-training in the month of January then I have done in quite awhile – it’s just too treacherous to travel far to paddle and there is at least 3 feet of snow at the put-in.

Here are some pics from last weekend (January 25th). The town of BZ Corners, our house, a beautiful view of the White Salmon from the bridge in BZ and playing in the snow. Enjoy . . . and, hopefully we will see you this Spring!
