Chris Souders is a seasoned catfish angler, an accomplished tournament angler and a dedicated family man. He credits his passion for fishing to his positive fishing experiences as a child and he strives to pass that passion on to future generations. He faces each new day as a challenge full of new experiences and things to learn.

In addition to many tournament wins over the years, the Southern Ohio angler was named Cabela’s King Kat Angler of the Year (AOY) in 2016. His strong work ethic and his determination to succeed lifted him to repeat the AOY title in 2017.

Chris believes that conservation starts with CPR and educating people about the importance of CPR. To promote conservation effectively he believes that anglers must set high expectations for themselves and be good role models for others.

Chris shares his passion for catfishing on Slunger Cat Outdoors, a YouTube channel that he created to help people learn how to find and catch catfish. Chris also shares his proven catfishing techniques in how-to seminars and on his other social media sites. As well as being the host of Catfish Crazy Tv which is in season two and will be airing on the Pursuit channel this spring.
