Boyd Ruppelt, JK’s new regional team member from Memphis, sends in his first Rocker trip and review by Will Richardson | Dec 5, 2005 | Rockers, Whitewater | 0 comments December 5, 2005 Photos Boyd got his first runs in this weekend with the Rocker, very cool. His passion for kayaking is contagious and desire to get on a creek any time he can gets him on the creeks often here in the Southeast. Check out his first impression of the Rocker in his note to me… Hey man, Had a great week…looks like you guys did too! I’m absolutely LOVING my Rocker. It goes under holes and over holes equally as well, pretty rare in a creeker. It has AMAZING boofability for such a fast creeker! I can’t believe how fast and solid it feels on a line, while handling the most abrupt boof moves whithout missing a beat. It also seemed to stay balanced well on waterfalls, and resurfaced GREAT too. It’s awesome man…We went to Triple Falls, NC (a bit low for my taste) so we hit up the Cullasaja. It was cold, icey, and wet, but GREAT! One of those beautiful days that just paddlers understand. We also hit the Tellico on the way back. Fun times! Unfortunately, the cold, wet weather about killed our camras so pictures are WAY more lacking and lower quality than usual…same on video. I think I’ve got enough video to put something nice together for your website though. I’ll get more man. Also, I’ve attached some of the shots that turned out, including a nice little action sequence of the Rocker. I’ll send them in two emails. I’m expecting to get a much better sequence for you soon, but I think you’ll like this one. Well stay Wet man, I’ll keep you posted on everything else we’re up to! lotta plans… Boyd Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
