Last day of Cold Water Kayaking this Year: Z-DAM! by Will Richardson | Dec 27, 2005 | 2010 Star, Classic Stars, Whitewater | 0 comments December 27, 2005 Photos After enjoying a great Christmas-Family-Time and scrambling to find Malaria drugs that won’t kill my Typhoid drugs, it was time to go boating! Fortunately, my friend-and rockin’ whitewater photographer-James was up for the drive down to Richmond to join me. The air temperature was great, but the water is still REALLY cold: like around 37 degrees. Most rides resulted in horrible brain-freezes, and therefore lots of screaming, but the hole was awesome. James was hitting loops like I’ve never seen him do before in his Super Star. I had fun working lots of moves in my All Star. There’s a HUGE tree that’s now hanging from the dam right next to the hole, which we climbed-up to shoot some photos. The 2 shots of James were shot by me, the credit for the good ones goes to James Sneeringer.
