Are you coming to the 2007 Whitewater Symposium? You should! by Will Richardson | Jul 17, 2007 | Whitewater | 0 comments The whitewater symposium is a chance to meet the makers, shakers, and doers in the world of whitewater kayaking. It is mostly an instructional setting where the goal is to help instructors gain access to the top names in the industry and bend their ear, or learn from their presentations. It is also a place of panel “discussions” where the questions are pointed at those who are involved in the sport and do things that effect all of us. I have been a presenter since its inception, and support the concept of the symposium and enjoy the experience. Top speakers give key-note speeches. John Norton, formerly CEO of Aspen and Crested Butte Ski Mountains was one that left a big impression on me. Joe Pulliam, a founder of Dagger Canoe was another and I believe he is the speaker this year too, awesome!
