Reno River Fest Freestyle Recap!

The Reno River Festival was a fantastic weekend yet again in
2009! With more spectators and a better organized event than any
other, this is a favorite of athletes and friends everywhere–They
actually provide hotels for the invited kayakers!!! There are a few
number of invited athletes for the freestyle event and an open
competition the day before where anyone can win their way in to the
"pro" event. This year’s open event was run by World Kayak, and had
more than 50 competitors who came-out to enjoy the day! Jessica
placed 4th in the women’s open event, which was SWEET for her first
competition ever.

This was a special year for me as it was the first time I’ve won
here, which felt great to me. I’m now a semi-local 🙂 Anyway, I’ll
let the photos do the talking again. Here are the results that I
