Taking a break to surf the first threat by Will Richardson | Sep 14, 2009 | Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Darin McQuoid Our Mexico trip was a complete success with a seven day descent of one of the most beautiful canyons I have ever seen. The story and photos will be out there soon. This weekend I took a break and headed up to the reliable South Fork American to relax and enjoy some splashes. While First Threat on the South Fork of the American is a well known spot and normally has a gigantic line, this weekend the line was minimal. Unfortunately it seems that fall has arrived, as it was truly drytop weather, and we all had shorties. My session ended with a big smile and lots of shivering, but the lighting was good so I warmed up and snapped a few shots of this fun spot.
