Surfing the Best Wave 400 cfs Can Make!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen 400 cfs create a feature as fun and dynamic as the new LoDo Wave in the Buena Vista Whitewater Park. The whitewater park is about a 100-yard walk from my back gate, and ever since I’ve lived here, I’ve basically not paddled from September-ish to April-ish cause it’s usually so low. But this year we’ve got a solid snow pack, so they’ve been moving water to make room in the reservoir upstream… so we had 400 for maybe the last month and half.

Anyhow, instead of 6 months off, I got a few weeks of great training in. Here are some highlights, and the video at the bottom is Nick Troutman going huge on the same feature at the BV Pro Rodeo last year with a lot more water 🙂
