All New Lightning Flowtech Paddles are turning heads!! by ericjackson | Apr 20, 2011 | Dealer, Whitewater | 4 comments If you haven’t noticed, Jackson Kayak is selling the Lightning brand in the USA once again. Another paddle brand? In this case we have something unique that will drive sales you wouldn’t get otherwise. I recommend getting on the bandwagon quickly! Flowtech- these paddles are manufactured the same way as a snowboard or ski and are the only such paddles in the world. The immediate difference is that each of them have a design on them, making them look different. for 2011 we have four designs: 1. American Flag 2. Canadian Flag 3. Chlorophyll 4. Lightning Lightweight, strong, and wear much better than a carbon or glass cut blade. Priced right and will bring people into your shop! Order yours today from your rep or customer service. 4 Comments Hatter Farber on April 24, 2011 at 3:00 pm My name is Hatter and I just purchased a lightning paddle last Gauley season from the river store that Class VI owns. I work there as a Video Boater, Safety Boater, and Trip Leader. Currently I am working on the Kaweah River in So Cal as a Safety Boater and guide The other day while paddling I noticed that the right blade rattles. I dont really know who to talk to about this, But the last thing I need is to have this cause a problem while I’m working. I cant seem to find Lightning’s info except that yall sell them. If you could let me know who I could talk to about trying to fix this it would be much appreciated. Reply Clay Wright on April 24, 2011 at 7:11 pm Clay responded directly with this – but not posting it Hey Hatter – Could just be a piece of resin broke off inside – when you connect blade and shaft it leaves resin drips inside and they sometimes break off later. Is it a ‘rattle’ like hard pieces sliding around in there or is is more of a ‘clank’ instead of a ‘thud’ when you hit it on a rock? The serious problem will be a hollow ‘clank’ sound when you hit that side on a rock – you can try it on the parking lot even – a secure paddle will be more of a solid ‘thud’ – even hollow sounding – but lower in pitch. Thud with rattle is just glue drip in there. Hit me back for more help anytime: clay at jacksonkayak dott com. C Reply julie monroe on May 5, 2015 at 10:06 pm Is there any way I can purchace 3.
