Young Female Student Steps Up and Takes Strides! by Jeremy Adkins | Jun 10, 2012 | Whitewater | 0 comments Recently I taught a class to a young lady named Katie Jackson. Katie is from Birmingham, Alabama and was interested in getting over the hump in her boating. Sometimes students are very timid and need that little extra push and confidence booster from a fellow paddler. Katie was not different and it was amazing to see her change in one day. Katie was very nervous of getting into the waves and playing in the holes. As soon as she got the comfort zone and realized how much fun it could be to surf, spin, ender, rockspin and make the river a playground she was all smiles. Here are some photos of Katie Jackson in the one day class with her first good surf, rock spin, front enders and smiles. I hope to see Katie in another class soon. She learned that surfing and playing with friends can be some of the best days on the water. Jeremy Adkins Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
