Down The Chute by JK Team | Aug 2, 2012 | Coosa | 2 comments Donna, 56, was caught coming down “The Chute” in her Jackson Kayak Coosa on the Lower Mountain Fork River near Broken Bow, OK, a very popular float in southeastern Oklahoma. The Chute, located in a three-mile section extending from Reregulation Dam to U.S. Highway 70, has an average gradient of 10 fpm and a maximum gradient of 45 fpm. Class II rapids may be found when the water is running above 300 cfs. Donna and her friend Beccy were enjoying runs around 200 – 250 cfs; paddling for the full pleasure of playing and being on the water, running the rapids, enjoying this clear beautiful river, our Coosa’s and our friends. The Coosa’s handled everything that was thrown at them. 2 Comments Dale on August 2, 2012 at 9:04 pm READY to take my Cossa, my wife’s Daytripped 12, and my son’s Riviera there.
