JR Men’s World Cup Semi Final Results by jacksonkayak | Aug 26, 2012 | Whitewater | 0 comments The juniors were impressive again with their semi final rides this afternoon as the up and coming talent was on display for the world to see. The Kellog family well represented with two entries and a tight race brewing between Paul Palmer, the tall Alec Voorhes and now veteran Jordan Poffenberger made this two heat semi final pretty interesting even before it started. The battle was to hit that one or two big moves and gain that spot in the finals and the wave was not going to forgive easily. Paul Palmer came out swinging with a stellar first ride of 156 and left most battling hard to beat with frequent flushes and tiring paddles back up the eddy. Hunter Katich didn’t hit the 150 mark with any ride but was able to average two decent rides for second place with Alec Voorhes getting enough loops to eek out third. Grady Kellog came through with his final ride to make it in the top 5 as did Jordan Poffenberger who ended up with the last spot.
