Returning to the Bow River,Alberta by Stephen Laurie | Aug 24, 2012 | Coosa, Fishing, Freshwater, Freshwater Fishing, rivers | 3 comments Returning to the Bow River A Video showing some highlights and clips from my return to the Bow River after an unusually long spring run-off. I spent a few hours prospecting from Mckinnon Flats to the Carsland Weir with some great results. The trout were hungry and it showed in good numbers and quality of fish. Can’t wait to head down that section of the Bow again! I live down the road in Lethbridge. Makes me want to get out on the river. I’m currently trying to decide which sot kayak to buy. I’m thinking the Cuda 12 right now. Is your paddle a 240cm? Trevor Reply Brooks Beatty on September 17, 2012 at 7:55 pm Hey Trevor, I would definitely recommend a 240cm paddle for any boat that uses the high seat position. Also, I would find your closest dealer and look to get in their demo boats, this will help you narrow down your decision. Good Luck and check out the Cuda 12 an excellent all around kayak! Reply Stephen on October 10, 2012 at 8:09 pm Like Brooks said 240cm is a good size for higher seating positions. Werner has recently come out with a 250cm paddle to address the high seat position as well. Cuda 12 should suit you well in the area your in.
