River Camping with the Rogue by JK Team | Oct 30, 2012 | Rogue | 2 comments Dear Jackson Kayak, Earlier this Spring I purchased a Jackson Rogue kayak with plans to self-support multi-day runs in and around the 4 corners area (Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico). I chose the Rogue because I wanted a boat that would travel more efficiently and offer greater comfort than my creekboat, while offering better stability and maneuverability than a traditional touring/sea kayak. The Rogue seemed like the perfect combination of hull speed, comfort, and convenience for anything from an overnighter to a week-long self-support trip. And it was. As a bonus, the Rogue turned out to be the ideal boat for rehabilitating my shoulder after a season-ending creeking injury earlier this Summer. Thanks for saving my kayaking season! Sincerely, Brian Gardel Here’s the Rogue all packed up for river camping: 2 Comments jerry lundy on September 5, 2013 at 1:25 am Is the color of your rogue blue black and white swirl or does it have a name like blue steel or sprite. i tried to explain to my dealer the color i want and they tell me blue steel but the blue steels I’ve seen does not look the same as whats in your photos, thanks Reply Emily Jackson on September 16, 2013 at 1:02 am The 2014 colors for the rogue have changed, it is now red, sprite (blue and lime green) or urban camo We tend to change colors for every season starting in august. If you would like blue steel you might be able to custom order it but there will be an up charge Happy Paddling Emily Jackson Reply Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
