One of, I feel, the most important factors when purchasing your first or upgrading to a new kayak is getting it on the water for a test ride. Make, model, size, seating options, fishing or pleasure paddling, etc. are many aspects one must consider. The best way to accomplish this by attending a local kayak dealer’s “Demo Days”. A demo day is an event a local shop may schedule allowing potential customers to get a certain kayak they may be considering purchasing on the water. This allows you to get a better idea if this is the kayak for you. I have been privileged to attend several demo days representing Jackson Kayak. One of the most rewarding aspects of the demo days is introducing folks to the sport od kayaking and kayak angling.
