Respite on Pigeon Creek by JK Fans | Jul 27, 2014 | Big Tuna, Fishing | 0 comments After buying our Jackson Big Tuna Fishing Kayak from the cool folks at Fluid Fun in Bristol, Indiana, we put our two-week-old kayak to the test on a quick 6-mile, out-and-back jaunt on the Pigeon River from just north of Golden Lake southeast to the end of Long Lake in Steuben County Indiana. What a treat! And we don’t mean just the cool river twisties or the uninhabited shorelines we saw. This kayak rocks! The Big Tuna was everything we wanted in a tandem: day-long comfort, plenty of room, and rock solid stability. And we didn’t even fish out of it yet! But the real treat is the staff at Fluid Fun. We’re grateful to them all for such knowledge and professionalism. But we have to send a special shout out to our man, Jim, who showed us the way, and whose enthusiasm for this great pastime brings smiles to our faces each time we paddle. Love you guys!
