New Petrel Turning Heads at OR

2015 will see the addition of a new light touring kayak by Jackson Kayak!  At Outdoor Retailer we proudly introduced the Petrel!  Just like its sea faring namesake, the Petrel feels much more at home cruising over water with a hull designed for speed and outfitting set for comfort.  This kayak is SMOOTH to paddle!   One stroke helps it across the water with both speed and gliding power.  The new Elite Seat and comfy cockpit had plenty of room for any paddler and their gear.  Ample storage including a cool new JK stern hatch makes the Petrel an amazing kayak for longer journeys.

The Petrel also is supported by Jackson Kayak partner’s Yakattack with the inclusion of Gear Tracks on both sides allowing for the addition of any number of accessories from Yakattack or RAM.  This opens the Petrel up to amazing potential for bringing along tools for enthusiasts to enjoy and explore with:  phones, iPads, cameras,  fishing gear and much more.

Designed by Tony Lee and his team and inspired by many others, this kayak brings Jackson Kayak’s noted innovation and hull performance together again for light touring.  Many heads turned here at OR, especially at the on-water demo when folks got to try one out!
