Video: Smalltown Smallmouth

Fellow JK teammate Evan Howard, Dobyns Rods Pro Corey Galloway, and I hit the road in May of 2016 to fish for big smallmouth with big swimbaits and small flies. The fishing has been better at this location, but we all three ended up sticking solid smallmouth on the trip. We were privileged in that Evan brought along a then unreleased version of a swimbait that the world would later know as the Bull Gill. You’ll see a couple of shots of him holding up a nice 4 or 5 pound smallmouth caught on that lure.
