Spring training by davecrerar | May 16, 2017 | Fitness, Journey, Recreational/Touring, rivers | 0 comments We can see that the east is in flood, the boys in PNW are just givin’ ‘er already and up here in Canada we are still ski touring. However the weather has finally broken and spring is upon us. Time to dust off the cobwebs and get training. Advice from the likes of Clay and a few other paddlers that have the luxury of paddling year round was to introduce sprint training to my already full gym training schedule. Today I started that and it is awesome. Sunrise sprint sessions on the North Sask here in Edmonton are a great way to start your day. Aside from that it’s cross training with running, weights and sweimming that gets me ready for the upcoming packed season which starts NEXT WEEK!!!!
