Redcar UK fantastic day out by Mark Dowse | Sep 16, 2017 | Internationalisation, UK | 0 comments After a recent good day out on my local patch I was exited to get out again and try a bit of a larger species hunt after knowing there were some smaller species about I decided to utilise my new lowrance hds unit and find some spots where I would expect to find a few larger fish and oh boy I had myself a great day I started the day with some smaller cod and there were plenty about but suddenly my rod bent double and I knew this was not a cod or a pollock, as the fish was coming up in the clear water I suddenly realised it was a large wrasse and my heart started beating as this was a target species for the day and it was a good fish after tentatively coaxing the fish to the kayak I managed to land it and I was over the moon so I got my picture and released un harmed, I had a few more cod then BANG my rod bent double again and this was a large pollock of 6lb5oz and this gave me the run around for a while but another one landed, after this I thought this was my day done it cannot get any better 3 boxes ticked, I had a few more cod again around 3.5lb then again I hook into a large fish it was another large wrasse. To say I had a great day would be a understatement. Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
