Camping and kayaking by Brian Cadoret | Feb 14, 2019 | Big Rig, Family Zone, Fishing, Internationalisation, Outdoor Adventures, United States | 0 comments I often have small random windows to fish. Sometimes I will have a full day and take advantage with a long float in the JK Big Rig or head a few hours from home and fish new water. Often solo because it’s hard link up with friends on a short notice. However at least 3 or 4 times a season I like to take a full weekend, setup the tent and fish with friends. Sometimes it’s based around a tournament like the Ditch Pickle Classic, the opening day of Musky season or an adventure with my son Henry. Locations vary from campgrounds, friends back lawns, along a mountain stream to spots we pull out when doing a long float. I cherish the time preparing to camp, setting up and the entire time I’m “gone fishing”. Cooking over a fire or bringing a portable grill seems to always make the food taste better but maybe it’s because we get so hungry and anything hot river side is a treat. I love the sounds at night, the stars and sleeping next to running water. It’s a great change from sleeping in the comforts of your own house once in a while. Already looking forward to next Summer and multiple excursions with friends! Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
