First days on the water with my new Kilroy by Gergely Kapocsi | Jun 24, 2019 | Fishing, Hungary, Internationalisation, Kilroy | 1 comment I ordered a new kayak last year, which is suitable for fishing in wet conditions (and maybe for some hunting), has enough place for my dog and provides stability and speed for long trips. Yes, this is the Kilroy for me. It arrived in April to Hungary and as the fishing season on Lake Balaton starts on th 1st May I had some time to gear it up. I like the “minimalist design”, so only installed the followings: – anchor trolley + anchor kit – paddle holder – cleat – rod holder (included in the package) – my CellBlok and transducer holder from my good old Cruise I made some DIY improvement to fix the transducer firm on my kayak. I used only a GoPro mount, 2 plastic hooks, 20cm elastic rope and some glue, you can see the results on the following pictures. After this I spent the last days of April on the water without fishing rods, just looking around for new spots with the sonar. We had really good weather, sunshine, blue water, it was a great final countdown for the season’s start. Of course after the 1st May weather went crazy, with storms, big wind, heavy rain and so on … I had only a few days on the water. It was a bit hard, but I found some fish in this conditions too. To be continued…. 1 Comment Scott on June 24, 2019 at 4:14 pm Can you post more pictures of the CellBlok and fish finder set up?
