Colorado Fall Fishing by Scott Brands | Oct 19, 2019 | Big Rig, Fishing, Fishing Subjects, Freshwater | 0 comments Fall has finally arrived in Colorado, and I took advantage of the great weather with a pond hopping trip! Not really knowing what to expect, I loaded up the BigRig FD with four rods and a bunch of tackle. The morning started off with a strong jig bite, but after an hour or two the bite seemed non-existent. It was at this point that I caught glimpse of something flashing in the sunlight. As I got closer I determined the flash to be coming from a rooster tail spinner caught in the reeds. I tied it on and spent the rest of the day targeting bluegill who seemed to be much more active than the bass at that point. Surprisingly, the biggest bass of the day came on the rooster tail spinner! You just never know what’s going to happen each time you hit the water.
