Mission: All Water Shakedown, an on water look at the new All Water by Will Richardson | Apr 7, 2009 | All Water Rec, Recreational/Touring | 0 comments Mission: I packed up the car with 2 all waters fishing gear and a topo map just in case. I met the boys at the local hangout and we tore off for high-water float fish from the Barron fork in McMinnville to the Collins River. We had no idea what the river would be like but the local boys said there were flat, whitewater and fish in between. We set up and ran shuttle and got down to it. It was our first time getting to try out the new ALL WATERS and we weren’t disappointed. The moved like Whitewater boats and then again they didn’t. They were very fast. We only had the 10-foot model and want to try the 9 footer as well but we dumped them in at the dam and tested em right away to see what we could get away with. We loaded our gear up in the storage compartments and tore off. Fast, nimble, turns really well performed well in the river and from what we are told the local 20-foot waterfalls got knocked off using the all waters as well. But the way we rocketed on the flats you wouldn’t think they would tear up the local whitewater runs like they do wicked all round performance. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying huck em, but I bet you could and keep up to your local flat-water rec boats too.
