2nd Spanish Cup Trials by JK Team | Apr 22, 2011 | Uncategorized | 2 comments Last weekend we had our second event of the Spanish Freestyle Cup. It was held in Sort, a great village in the middle of the Pyrenees, site for the 2001 Freestyle Worlds. Due the great weather we had a good wave/hole spot and every river and creek in the Pyrenees is running! Snow is melting fast and there isn’t much though! We had prelims on Saturday morning and I paddled really bad… in the afternoon we went to paddle the Upper Noguera with some biddies at a great level, such a good river… Finals were on Sunday morning, luckily for me I paddled better than on Saturday and managed to win. At the end it was another great weekend with awesome weather for April (28ºC!!) and good friends! With this two first places at the Spanish Cup I earned my spot for the Spanish Team and I can finally say that I’m going to Worlds in Plattling in June! Should be a good time! Here are a few pics from the spot in Sort and some paddling the Upper Noguera.
