JK Fun – a great teacher, and there to save your butt when needed!

I wanted to get into whitewater kayaking after several years of flatwater paddling that just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. Everybody told me I needed to get out of my larger crossover boat and into something smaller if I was going to learn anything. A JK Fun came up over and over again when asking what I should get. So I bought one in August ’10. Bought it on Saturday, put it on a white water river on Sunday – never having been on the water in anything smaller than a 9′ crossover. Loved it! It taught me a lot about balance and boat control right away, but never let me down (or upside down as the case may be). Now I want to get into creeking – so guess what just came home with me last night? JK Villain! WooHoo!
