Biggest News Ever- Newest All-Star EVER! 2010 All-Star launched today! Literally! by Will Richardson | Jun 2, 2009 | Rockers, Whitewater | 0 comments Photos Just when you thought playboating couldn’t get any easier or more fun, all of the rules and beliefs are now crushed and a new era is here! The 2010 All-Star is simply a boat that will leave you blown away on your first ride! EVERYTHING is easier! I am not kidding, nor am I stretching the truth. WOW! Nick, Stephen, and I got in this boat in a hole, small waves, small holes, and bigger waves all in one day and we are grinning ear to ear. As big of an improvement as was made from the 2004 All-Star to the 2007 All-Star, we made bigger improvements on this one! Some examples: 1. Faster than the fastest playboat, the All-Star. 2. Much easier to spin, cartwheel, loop, backloop, phonix Monkey, McNasty, etc. etc. EVERYTHING 3. Easier to paddle with less skills. Ends don’t catch as much, looser, more volume to keep you on the surface. In a nutshell it makes each move one notch down in required skill level. It also improves the amplitude of each move greatly. Easier to go big on any aerial move. Also easier to stay on the wave or hole. WAY more retentive on both. Some Engineering reasons for these incredible improvements that truly puts the 2010 All-Star two full notches ahead of anything out there. 1. shorter means less surface area and less moment arm to rotate. Faster moves, means more likely to complete them before you fall over or flush out. 2. Easier to lift the bow or stern up in the air, meaning Ollie higher for air moves. This comes from shortness and "cutting the corners" on the boat, opposite of the swallow tail concept. 3. Faster from our best rocker profile yet. David Knight and I have worked extra hard to assure that we improved both speed and user friendliness. 4. 1.5 gallons more volume bigger air, less rocks hit! See the kayaks page for more details! 4 Sizes coming your way soon. The All-Star is ready to take orders, and we’ll be shipping the first ones on June 7th! Time to go celebrate!!!! One beer for me, and a long distance cheers to David Knight my design partner and genius. Also another beer and long distance cheers to Tony Lunt, Dave Olson, Carman, John, and the rest of the folks at the factory for making this all happen!!! This was a monumental effort by an incredibly skilled, motivated, and hard working crew to pull this off! Well done! 🙂 Ej Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
