World Cup #1 begins! by Will Richardson | Jan 1, 1970 | Whitewater | 0 comments August 15, 2008 It is 8:30 am and the World Cup got off on time this morning with the junior women. The Junior men are about to start, followed by the senior men’s prelims. 15 heats of men in this competition so it will be a long day! Very exciting to finally see it all come together. The opening ceremonies last night were at the “boathouse” lawn with a live band playing fun music but not getting a lot of athlete participation. The amount of dancing athletes is usually directly related to the day of the competition. Finals night, everyone participating, night before prelims, very few. Still a great time and a great barbeque for dinner. EJ Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
