Glenwood Springs Exposed: Day 1 @ 13,000 cfs! by Will Richardson | May 21, 2008 | Heros, Whitewater | 0 comments By Stephen Wright After a great weekend in Buena Vista with CKS, I spent a day in Salida before hearing statewide rumors of a big wave in Glenwood Springs. I had heard all that I needed to, so I packed-up and made the drive on Tuesday morning. My 3 hours of road-time was well rewarded: THIS PLACE ROCKS! Glenwood locals have a brand new playpark this year and the river levels are rising daily, giving everyone a new surprise every day. I had been there last week at around 6,000 cfs, which made for a great looping hole (I actually enjoyed looping my Hero!). But new levels were more like 13,000 cfs, which made for a SWEET wave on the river left side of the park. As it comes up more today (it’s already 16,000), we’ll move into the meaty pit on river right. But for now enjoy yesterday’s media from the river left wave. BEAST!!!! Enjoy the photos and video from yesterday!
