Fantastic day on the NF Feather by Will Richardson | Mar 25, 2008 | Heros, Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Stephen Wright After an EARLY 2 hour drive, Jessica and I met-up with local legend Charles Albright and other quality paddlers to run the Virgilia to Belden section on the NF Feather. With sunny skies and temperatures around 70, it was the perfect day. This run is quality: 4 miles of great class IV with one harder rapid that’s generally portaged, followed by another 5 miles or more of playful class III. Jessica drove the Hero and I paddled my Punk through the beautiful canyon. The Hero really was the perfect boat for this run: Stable, forgiving, and easy to drive. Jessica aced every line, and I jumped-in the Hero for Jumble–the manky rapid of the day, before walking back up for a 2nd run in my Punk. Enjoy the photos!
