JK Trail moving into May by Jason Cassetty | May 2, 2023 | Event Coverage, Events, Featured Post, Fishing, Fishing Feature, Fishing Reports, Fishing Tournament, jacksonkayak.com, JAdventures Main Banner, Tournaments | 0 comments The USA BASSIN/JACKSON KAYAK TRAIL wrapped up the month of April in Rough River Lake in Kentucky. 20 anglers took to the water on Saturday the 29th and just as in tournaments past these guys did not disappoint! 122 bass hit the TourneyX leaderboard which led to 17 limits and one heck of a tight battle. The top 5 anglers were separated by 5 inches but that separation was all that David Mills wanted as he took the win in the divisions 3rd event of the season. Adam Shepard missed the top spot by just .25” for second, followed by Big Bass winner and 3rd place finisher David Habenstein. Kyle Edington and Jeremy Hayes rounded out the top 5 as we start to see anglers eclipse the 250 points mark needed to qualify for the JK Classic this fall on KY Lake! April was an exciting month but May looks to be down right explosive kicking off on the legendary Lake Fork in Texas, the Potomac in Maryland and Claytor Lake in Virginia!
