It has been a strange year adjusting to a life away from the Ottawa Valley and the Canadian Rockies, but, it has been an amazing journey.

My perception of kayaking in this area was poor, at best. But with the help of a few amazing locals I have been shown that this area has a lot to offer.

Red Deer, being only a few hours from some great class V creeking and next too one of the most perfect holes I have ever surfed has kept spirits high.

This month saw the start to snow melt. With that some friends and I have managed to get out and start of the 2012 season. There is a lot on the schedule for this summer so stay tuned. Here are a few screen pics…
