Tennessee Update by Will Richardson | Feb 15, 2007 | Kid's Kayaks, Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Brad Sutton Its been very cold here in Tennessee with freezing temperatures for almost a month straight now which is unheard of around here in Tennessee. I was at a pool clinic helping juniors learn how to loop and other paddlers learn how to roll a kayak. I also was able to squeeze into the Jk 1 and a half kids kayak and had a blast playing around in the pool. Last weekend a few guys from the Jackson Kayak factory (The Shop Posse) and myself went paddling down the Big South Fork a class 3-4 run, but when we showed up all the eddies were froze solid so we drove our trucks downstream to find a section with out ice. My dry top was so toasty warm keeping the freezing cold temperatures away from my skin and the mitts were so nice to have and kept me from getting cold. Things have been pretty quite around Rock Island lately and I have been working hard at the JK factory. Looking forward to running some creeks in Southern Ontario in a few months.
