Fishing Sandy Hook NJ on the Cuda

The past weekend on Sunday August 5th i fished Sandy Hook with 3 fishing buddy’s. They may not be Jackson Cuda heads yet but i am working on it.  Went out for some Fluke but stayed close to shore due to the wind forecast later in the day was predicted to have winds 30-35 mph out of the south. This unfortunately makes it hard to paddle back in at this particular drop in. Out going tide takes you north around the hook and out.

Was able to test out my new bait trap in the area. Found a nice little creek full of bait.  Dropped the trap in with a bunker tail. Came back about a half our later and the trap was basically full of killies (minnows). Well half full.  I can tell you i will never buy killies again when fishing there!
