Sunrise from Journey at French Lake, OK by JK Team | Sep 2, 2012 | Journey | 0 comments My favorite time to paddle is early morning in the pre-dawn hours and just after dawn. It is so quiet and peaceful! So many times, we do not stop to enjoy the moment in which we live. Every time I kayak, I am reminded that life is a journey not a destination. My Journey provides me the opportunity to slow my life down. While I understand that many prefer the excitement of whitewater kayaking, the tranquil mornings during which I paddle brings me closer to enlightenment each time I paddle. French Lake rests in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Preserve in Oklahoma. During this paddle, we saw elk and a bison. The bison even crossed the cove about twenty yards from where we were paddling. While this lake is very small, the beauty of the mountains and the wildlife is stunning! Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
