A Day of Firsts by Robert Matthews | Mar 5, 2013 | Featured Post, Fishing, jacksonkayak.com, JK Team Posts, Team JK | 3 comments Just picked up my SUPerFISHal and hit the river for a test run. I’ve been doing so much wade fishing in the river for Rainbow Trout over the winter that it felt great to cover some ground. The day was windy and temps were right to fish with a slow presentation. Tied on a Cajun Cheerleader to the LOOP 5wt and started making casts and letting the fly glide down into the depths. Soon the fight was on and the first Largemouth Bass of the year was caught. To see more pictures and watch the video of the bass being caught. Go to my Fly Fishing Blog. 3 Comments Jarod H. on March 6, 2013 at 3:44 pm Beautiful! Nice writeup, and a great looking SUPerFISHal! Reply Robert Matthews on March 8, 2013 at 5:41 am Thanks Jarod. It’s a great river to fish when the tubers are away. First trip out in the SUP and can’t wait to get out again in it.
