Nick Troutman (Team JK) sends in his Easter “Monday” surfing shots from Ottawa! by Will Richardson | Apr 24, 2006 | Rockers, Whitewater | 0 comments April 24, 2006 Hey EJ, What new? It looks like you guys ahd a blast at Brush creek. Well i’ve got a good update for you. On Monday, we didn’t have school, because its was Easter monday, and since Joel was in Aspen with his family, and Deuce went with him for Easter, i decided to run the river with some friends from Wilderness tours. First we had checked out buseater, but it was flushed out, and than we just ran the river. On the way down, we found this MASSIVE wave, which we named Babylon. Dan (Dane and Foxy were the two guys I was with) dropped in first, but got typewritered off the far shoulder. I was next, and not wanting to waste a surf, i dropped right into the meat. I was the first to surf the face of the wave, and first to throw some moves. It is SO amazing. It is so fast and bouncy, but still fairly smooth. Definitely the biggest wave I’ve ever surfed. Sadly the pictures don’t do the justice of telling how big and steep it really is. We’re thinking around 15-17 ft. Defiantly bigger than bussy. When I got home, i called up both Joel and Deuce, being so excited to share the moment. Anyway so that want us 582, (and Pat and Marlow), have been up to this past week. Stay tuned for when i get my Rocker in a couple days. Nick Learn more about Nick Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
