The 2014 National Paddling Film Festival is Right Around The Corner! by Scott Blase | Jan 12, 2014 | Events, Whitewater | 0 comments Since 1983 the National Paddling Film Festival has been raising money and river conservation awareness for both the paddling community and non-profits such as American Whitewater. Hosted by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky this 2 day event has drawn entries from all over the country. These two days are packed with Silent Auctions, Raffle Drawings, Food, Fun, Sponsor Booths, Homebrew “Brew Off” competition, Bourbon Tastings, Distillery Tours, Film Viewing, Guest Speaker and of course paddling! This year’s event is Friday Feb 21st and Saturday Feb 22….the schedule of events is below. Friday Night: 5:00 pm Door Open, Beer Starts Flowing and Films start 7:00 pm Brew off beer deadline 8:00 pm Welcome and Guest Host Introduction 8:15 pm Presentation 9:15 pm Films continue 10:45pm Wrap up and after party at the Brick Alley Saturday: 10 am-2pm Bourbon Tours on the hour at Buffalo Trace Distillery 11:30 am Not-NPFF Race check-in 1:00 PM Not-NPFF Race starts 3pm-4pm More Bourbon Tasting 3:30 pm Films Start 6:30 pm Chili Cook-off Deadline 9:00 pm Wrap up and silent auction 10:45 pm Awards Ceremony 11:00 pm After party at Brick Alley Tickets are available in advance through the American Whitewater website for $20.00 through midnight Feb 20th.
