4 Fun review for steep technical river running by Will Richardson | Jan 1, 1970 | 2010 Fun, Rockers, Whitewater | 0 comments September 16, 2004 Hi Eric I just wanted to write a quick e-mail saying how happy I am with my new 4fun. I have only managed two trips out, since purchasing it a couple of weeks ago, but already I am happier with it than any other boat I have owned. (Prozone 235, Tekno) The rivers I have paddled have been low volume, steep and technical. (See pic attached, I am the dark triangle near the bottom of the drop.) The 4fun has excelled in these conditions. >From what I have read on the web, most people have commented on the ease of rolling and the edge stability, which are both important when river running. However, what I was pleasantly surprised about was the natural boofing capability. I know it’s got a big rocker, but this boat is amazingly easy to boof, which is very reassuring in technical water. I plan to get it on a wave and in a hole ASAP to test the playing potential. Thanks for making a great boat, it was well worth the wait. Rich PS The Outfitting rocks. I am 6’2" and have never been comfortable in a playboat longer than 10mins. The 4fun is so easy to setup to be comfortable and secure in.
