NorCal Spring and Summer Diving by jimrussell | Aug 28, 2014 | Cuda, Fishing, JK Team Posts, Saltwater Fishing | 0 comments Spring and summer in Northern California typically bring more kelp and greener, murkier water… But it is also the time of year when ocean conditions are often calmer, Abalone season is open, the water is warmer and Halibut move into shallower waters… Highlights of the last four months include my personal best male Sheephead (29 inches), first four ten inch “trophy” Abalone (biggest was 10 5/8), personal best Brown RockFish, and second and third speared Halibut (including my personal best of 41.25 inches and 31 pounds). The fish and abalone in this video were taken between this May and August in Monterey, Santa Cruz, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino and Humboldt Counties while diving off a Cuda14 and Cruise12. Thanks for looking! Sincerely, Jim Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
