Win some. Lose some. Grass carp on the fly (video)

I love to travel and often make 6-8 hour drives to fish cool locations for 1 or 2 days. Trout, redfish, and smallmouth bass all rank high on my list of targets to chase on the fly but they also require a camping trip. However, there can be some great, under targeted, fish that provide an exciting fight locally. Grass carp offer one such opportunity. They’re not highly prized as recreational fish but they offer a great challenge to fly anglers. One that I have really come to enjoy because they make me a better fly fisherman. See for yourself…
