Sight Casting an 8 pound Largemouth Bass by Johnathan Alijets | May 5, 2017 | Fishing, Video | 0 comments Spring fishing in Central Texas at it’s finest. I spent that morning cruising the banks, looking for bedded fish when I spotted a portly female largemouth bass near what looked like a spawning nest. I had a texas-rigged baby brush hog ready to go and proceeded to make several dozen casts until she finally began to take notice. On the final cast I let the bait lay still for few moments before bringing it back to life, ever so slightly, enough to convince (or annoy) the fish enough to swallow it up. Once she started moving away with the bait I reeled up the slacked line and set the hook. The rest of the story is better explained in this video. Cheers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70cjS9Bp1C8&t=44s Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
