The Frio River – One of God’s Many Landscapes by clinttaylor | Dec 26, 2017 | Fishing, Internationalisation, United States | 0 comments There are a lot of things that come at you in life. Some of these things are good, some bad, and some that are really just neutral. I know I sometimes get bogged down by life and need a refresher, something to bring me out of the world for a while. Although I can’t really get out of the world for a while, I can spend time in some beautiful scenery God has provided for each and every one of us. The Frio River can provide just the refresher I am talking about. I have a few photos below from a trip I had to the Frio River. What is kind of interesting about when I visit such beautiful rivers like this, is I feel closer to God in these moments and I think a lot of this is because I am seeing God through these sceneries. It is so easy to get caught up in worldly aspects, but it certainly is nice when I get to visit spots like the Frio River to catch my breath and remind myself that God created this world, God created me, and just as fast as I was brought into this world I could quickly leave it. Along these lines, I think I could drastically benefit to constantly remind myself of two things: One – I do not need to get caught up in the world, for my reward isn’t how much money I make, what type of car I drive, or where I live. My reward will come through God if I live my life according to His will. Matthew 5:12 “Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven.” Two – I do not need to worry about what my future stores for me, because I do not even really know what will happen tomorrow. I need to let tomorrow happen according to God’s will for my life. James 4:14 “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” Please enjoy the photos below. A big thanks to Dustin Doskocil for the great photography.
