The Forbidden Fruit

Rock Creek in Ga. is the forbidden fruit of creeks for Chattanooga Creekers. The putin is on private property and the takeout is on private property. You have to know someone that knows someone to paddle this creek. There are long mandatory portages and must make moves and eddies around every corner. Rock is beautiful maze that very few kayakers get to see. This was my first time leading someone (Rob Taylor) down Rock and it turned out pretty good. The level was 8″ on the old bridge gauge.This is about as low as I’ll go. The Nirvana L did really well on this tight and technical stretch. The length didn’t get in the way and speed was nice on a couple of the must makes. Keep charging and maybe someday you will get invited.
