Snowy playboating in Rock Island by stephenwright | Jan 12, 2011 | Featured Post, jacksonkayak.com, JK Team Posts, Playboating, Rockstar, Team JK, Whitewater | 1 comment We received 5 inches of snow here in Rock Island on Sunday Night. Roads weren’t plowed, schools are closed everywhere, and I spent a lot of time crying and wishing for warmer climates. It was, however, a good day to go kayak! We had to park at the top of the hill and walk in due to ice and snow. Good fun sledding down the road to the put in in our playboats. Clay once again braved the elements to shoot photos for EJ and I. Good fun at the Top Wave, Main Hole, and Backstage! Enjoy the photos, shot by Clay, who was still gimpy yesterday but is now paddling again 🙂 Live from Rock Island, Stephen Wright [nggallery id=135 blog=1] 1 Comment Georgia on December 1, 2012 at 1:52 am Thanks for the report, and for the offer!
