Winter Paddling made toasty! by Devon Barker | Jan 20, 2011 | JK Team Posts, Team JK, Whitewater | 0 comments Winter has greeted us here in Idaho. The river dropped to a level that brought the Mill Wave to a perfect surfing level. The temperature was cold but the wave was perfect. Upon reaching the river’s edge I was greeted by ice on the banks and ice in the river. Surfing the Mill Wave with ice skimming under the hull of my Star my hands were hot using my NRS Toaster Mitts. I could not believe it. Having warm hands make winter paddling so much better! Here’s to winter boating in 2011!
