Weekend playspot photos by Will Richardson | Jan 1, 1970 | Whitewater | 0 comments August 21, 2006 By Dan Rubado Hi there JK- I just got back from another awesome weekend of paddling. Soon I have to ride down to the state office building to return to my internship… but I thought I would fire off some of these weekend paddling photos first. I met up with a college buddy of mine who is an awesome paddler and he was kind enough to take me out to his local play spot for the day. As you will see, it was a sweet hole and we had a great session, paddling with a group of fun local boaters. I’m afraid the name and location of this spot may not be disclosed on the internet. Even I had to ride blindfolded as my friend drove in circles to disorient me, then took a circuitous route through back roads to further throw me off. When we arrived, I had completely lost my bearings and could hardly tell which way was downstream. Fortunately I figured out how to surf this nice little gem and ended up dialing it in pretty well. Lizzie got out the camera and took some great shots of our session. After a million or so rides and uncountable loops and cartwheels, we had a little barbecue next to the hole before Lizzie and I had to take off. Hope all is well down at the factory! -Dan Dan – big back loop1 – by Lizzie Giles Dan – big space godzilla – by Lizzie Giles Dan – clean stern end – by Lizzie Giles Dan – loop – by Lizzie Giles Dan – phonix monkey – by Lizzie Giles Submit a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
