Our Christmas tree goes up today!

There is nothing like putting up the Christmas tree
to put you in the
Christmas spirit. A Bing Crosby Christmas CD playing on the stereo, a
glass
of wine, Christmas cookies, and a quiet evening of decorating the tree
is
good for the spirit. The littlest Jackson got to put the top on the tree
with the help of a step ladder, while the cat enjoyed a little indoor
camping action. Moe has since claimed the area under the tree as his bed,
but will be displaced by presents soon. Dane anxiously awaits Santa, a
benefit of homeschooling, while Emily enjoys being the "older sister
in the
know". We don’t have the Christmas weather here at Rock Island, at
60
degrees and another 2+" of rain last night already (my rain gauge
broke, so
I don’t know what we have).

This Christmas, our trip to Australia is our primary
gifts, but I’m sure Santa will not forget the Jackson ranch, since Dane
and Emily were good children this year.
